Welcome Center:

Normal hours for the Welcome Center are 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Saturday and 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Sundays.

During Phase 3 of Reopening Illinois, the Welcome Center will be open intermittent hours, based on availability of volunteers to host the Gift Shop. You can make an appointment to shop in the gift shop by calling 618-713-8516.

While visiting our Welcome Center/Gift Shop, only 10 persons will be allowed inside at a time, and we ask that all visitors maintain social distancing, and wear a mask while inside.

Extra cleaning and sanitizing procedures are followed per CDC and local health guidelines.

Grounds:

The grounds at Bald Knob Cross are still open daily. The gate opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at dusk. You are free to walk up and visit the base of the cross, enjoy the observation deck, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the picnic tables on the grounds. Any group that gathers on the grounds must be 10 or less.We ask that you follow safe social distancing.
